SHOOTING BIRDS AND ANIMALS FOR FUN

Aside from the obvious cruelty involved this pastime causes a great deal of harm to our native flora and fauna. In order to preserve the birds that are shot for sport an incessant war is waged against our natural predators.

In areas of the country that are intensively shot over for sport so much corn is dumped in the woodlands as food for pheasants that there has been a huge rise in the rat population. This imbalance is exacerbated by the destruction of natural predators.

It takes a brave man, or woman, to take on a fully grown pheasant when armed with only a shotgun!

Quotes:-

"When I lie in my bath at the end of the day, I want to remember each bird I shot, and everyone else's, too."
